2011-01-31 The deliverables of the NAMI project are achieved
The deliverables of the NAMI project "Research & development of new materials for printable electronics" are completed, which include:
-
Develop new polymeric phosphorescent materials which are metal-organic hybrid materials with good thermal stability (decomposition temperature > 300 oC), and good film properties (surface roughness < 10 nm) for printable OLEDs/ PLEDs.
-
Apply for at least 2 patents on new materials and/ or technology for printable electronics.
-
Develop new and more economical methods for practical preparation and structural modification of new and literature known light-emitting polymers which could be used for printable electronics. (Production cost at least 10% less than commercial products).
-
Provide standardized protocols that would be used by engineers and/ or trained personnel as a handbook for the fabrication and characterization of OLED/ PLEDs, and characterization of the materials for PLEDs.
-
Fabricate monochrome and area-color, 7-segment with special feature icons prototype devices. Our polymer devices will have an efficiency of at least 7 cd/A, luminance of 1,000 cd/m2, lifetime of 8000 hours.
